Danville, KY - The 1926 Collective is proud to announce the successful conclusion of a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnership between Papa John’s Pizza (Danville) and three outstanding female student-athletes. This collaboration, focused on encouraging Centre College campus support for Papa John’s Pizza, saw a 20% increase in sales on Sunday, October 20, as the athletes promoted the brand to their followers and community members.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with the results of our NIL partnership with these talented Centre College athletes,” said John Frey, co-owner of Papa John’s in Danville, KY “Their energy and authenticity in engaging with the community made a real impact, and it was great to see the local response on October 20.”
The three Centre College athletes who completed the deal were Hannah Jemley (Junior, Cross Country and Track), Anna Thomas (Senior, Soccer and Basketball), and Meg Ralston (Junior, Soccer). “We’re thrilled with the results of the partnership between Papa John’s and the athletes. We developed the plan together to help John and his team boost sales on a day that’s typically a bit slower for the store through a thoughtful approach that was fun for Hannah, Anna and Meg to get behind and promote. We’re excited to do more of these partnerships that truly provide value to the brands and put some cash directly in athletes’ pockets,” said a representative from The 1926 Collective.
This partnership between Papa John’s Danville and the three female student athletes represents the growing opportunities for college athletes to engage with brands and leverage their influence, while also fostering connections with the community.
