Danville business partners with Centre’s Lindsay Carr in NIL deal to promote ice cream shop and Airbnb.
The 1926 Collective, Centre College’s NIL Collective and the first of its kind to promote only female athletes, is thrilled to announce a partnership between Finn’s Ice Cream and Centre Field Lofts, proud members of the Danville community, and Lindsay Carr, a junior on Centre College’s Women’s Soccer team.
Jamie and Christy Durham, owners of Finn’s Ice Cream and Centre Field Lofts, are the first local business owners to sign an NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deal with a Centre College student athlete.
"We are proud to be the first Danville business owners to support and empower Centre's talented women athletes through this NIL partnership,” said Jamie Durham. “We are looking forward to working with Lindsay, and we hope this is the first of many deals."
Lindsay Carr is the starting central defender for the Centre College Women’s Soccer program, who defeated in-state rival Transylvania University Wednesday night 3 to 1. “I'm truly honored to partner with Finn's Ice Cream and Centre Field Lofts. This NIL deal not only helps me pursue my athletic dreams but also allows me the opportunity to promote some fantastic Danville businesses,” said Carr.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the early days of The 1926 Collective, showcasing the power of community engagement and the positive impact it can have on the residents of Danville and the students of Centre College.
This partnership between Finn’s Ice Cream and Centre Field Lofts and Lindsay Carr exemplifies the spirit of collaboration, community empowerment, and the limitless potential of NIL agreements. It sets a precedent for future collaborations between athletes and local businesses, highlighting the positive outcomes that can arise from such partnerships.
